Warm storybook illustration of a cozy front hallway at morning. Three cats stand on a patterned rug facing a wooden front door swung wide open, with bright daylight pouring in from a neighborhood street outside. The orange tabby lies curiously on the left, the fluffy grey-and-white longhair cat with aviator goggles stands in the middle, and the black tuxedo cat in a red adventurer hat and flowing red scarf walks toward the open door. Empty coat hooks and abandoned shoes hint that the humans are missing. A wooden staircase rises on the left, and the hall opens toward the living room. Soft golden morning light and painterly colored-pencil texture.

Morning light spilled across the rug. The front door stood wide open, the humans gone, and three curious cats woke to a house full of questions.
